Shittu Olusegun Adekoya brings over a decade of industry experience to his role as Team Lead of the General Business Unit, with a specialized focus on Islamic insurance. He began his career at Cornerstone Takaful, where he developed deep expertise in the principles and practices of Takaful (Islamic insurance).

Shittu holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics/Statistics from the University of Lagos and has continually advanced his professional knowledge through specialized education in Islamic finance. His academic credentials include a Postgraduate Diploma in Islamic Banking and Finance from Alhuda CIBE International, a Professional Certificate in Islamic Banking & Finance (PCIBF), and a Postgraduate Certificate from the International Institute of Islamic Banking and Finance (IIIBF). He also holds a Diploma in Data Management, reflecting his commitment to leveraging data-driven insights within the insurance sector.

A dedicated professional, Mr. Adekoya is an Associate Member of the Institute of Islamic Finance Professionals (IIFP) and a Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN).

His expertise spans both conventional and Islamic insurance frameworks, further supported by his certification in Reinsurance Property Treaty, underscoring his comprehensive understanding of risk-sharing mechanisms and reinsurance practices.
