Hafsat Shuaib Umar currently serves as the Legal and Compliance Officer at Hilal Takaful Nigeria Limited, where she provides strategic legal guidance and ensures regulatory compliance for the organization. She previously served as Legal Officer at Niger Insurance PLC, where she demonstrated expertise in contract management, dispute resolution, and regulatory compliance. Her earlier experience includes serving as Legal Counsel at Dele-Babalola & Co.

A qualified legal practitioner, Ms. Umar holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and was called to the Nigerian Bar. She is currently pursuing her Master of Laws degree at the University of Lagos, demonstrating her commitment to continuous professional development.

As an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC) and a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), she brings a comprehensive understanding of legal practice and alternative dispute resolution to her role. Her expertise spans corporate law, compliance management, contract negotiation, and strategic legal advisory services, making her a valuable asset in the financial services sector.
