Bashir Haliru Binji

Mr. Binji is an accomplished insurance professional with over 25 years of extensive experience in the insurance industry. He currently serves as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of FIN Insurance Company Limited. His distinguished career includes serving as the Executive Director of Operations and Acting MD/CEO at the Nigeria Agricultural Insurance Corporation (NAIC), following a Federal Government appointment.

Before this, he spent nine years as the Zonal Head of Northern Operations at Zenith Insurance Company, a subsidiary of Zenith Bank, where he played a pioneering role. His early career began at Nigeria Reinsurance Corporation, where he gained valuable experience across the Investment, Underwriting, and Marketing departments.

Throughout his professional journey, Mr. Binji has built an impressive academic foundation. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Studies from Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto, and an MBA from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. His commitment to executive education is demonstrated through his successful completion of the Advanced Management Program (AMP 37) at Lagos Business School and participation in the global program at IESE Business School, Barcelona, Spain.

His dedication to insurance expertise is evidenced by his fellowship of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (FCIIN), associate membership with the prestigious Chartered Insurance Institute, London, and his Diploma with Distinction in Insurance from the West African Insurance Institute (WAII) in Banjul, The Gambia, where he completed a one-year full-time residential program.

His commitment to continuous professional development is reflected in his participation in various local and international courses focusing on Insurance Risk Management and Marketing. His industry leadership is further demonstrated through his service as a member of the governing Council of the Nigerian Insurers Association.
