Abdur-Rasheed Abiodun Babalola, mni, is a financial services executive with over 20 years of experience in Takaful, Islamic finance, general insurance, microinsurance, and financial inclusion. As Managing Director of Hilal Takaful Insurance Company Limited, he is focused on expanding access to ethical, Shariah-compliant insurance solutions and promoting sustainable economic growth.

He also co-developed innovative microinsurance products approved by the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM), helping to extend insurance coverage to underserved communities.

Beyond his corporate leadership, he is passionate about mentorship and transformational leadership, having mentored and advised over 1,000 emerging leaders. He also served as a Non-Executive Director of Arthur Group, a non-interest financial asset management company.

He holds a B.Sc. in Insurance and a Master’s degree in Managerial Psychology from the University of Lagos and is an Associate Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria. His leadership reflects a commitment to strengthening Takaful, advancing financial inclusion, and delivering sustainable value to individuals, businesses, and communities.

Tajudeen Olabanji Olusesi is a graduate of Accounting from University of Lagos, he also owns Master of Science Degree in Risk Management and Insurance from the same University. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers.

He has over 10 years’ experience ranging from Islamic Microfinance Bank, Zakat and Sadaqat Operation and served in various capacity as Head Enterprise Risk Management, Business Development / Marketing, Relationship Manager etc.

He is a Fellow, Institute of Islamic Finance Professional (IIFP) with keen interest in Islamic Insurance (Takaful). Tajudeen is also an Associate Member of International Institute of Islamic Banking and Finance (IIIBF). He is a member of Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria and the current head of Business Development Unit in Hilal Takaful Insurance Limited.

Ibrahim Jimoh currently serves as Team Lead Family Business Underwriter at Hilal Takaful Insurance Limited, specializing in Family Business (Life) underwriting. With over 16 years of industry experience since beginning his career at Cornerstone Insurance PLC in 2009, he has developed extensive expertise across general and family business underwriting, marketing, and administration.

As a key member of Hilal Takaful Insurance Limited’s pioneering team, Mr. Jimoh has played an instrumental role in risk assessment and portfolio management. His professional credentials include a BSc in Insurance, Higher National Diploma in Marketing, and a specialized Higher National Diploma in Islamic Finance from ALHUDA.

As an Associate of the Institute of Islamic Finance Professionals of Nigeria and a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria, he continues to enhance his expertise through various Islamic Finance and Takaful studies workshops, bringing comprehensive knowledge to the Islamic insurance sector.

Shittu Olusegun Adekoya brings over a decade of industry experience to his role as Team Lead of the General Business Unit, with a specialized focus on Islamic insurance. He began his career at Cornerstone Takaful, where he developed deep expertise in the principles and practices of Takaful (Islamic insurance).

Shittu holds a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics/Statistics from the University of Lagos and has continually advanced his professional knowledge through specialized education in Islamic finance. His academic credentials include a Postgraduate Diploma in Islamic Banking and Finance from Alhuda CIBE International, a Professional Certificate in Islamic Banking & Finance (PCIBF), and a Postgraduate Certificate from the International Institute of Islamic Banking and Finance (IIIBF). He also holds a Diploma in Data Management, reflecting his commitment to leveraging data-driven insights within the insurance sector.

A dedicated professional, Mr. Adekoya is an Associate Member of the Institute of Islamic Finance Professionals (IIFP) and a Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN).

His expertise spans both conventional and Islamic insurance frameworks, further supported by his certification in Reinsurance Property Treaty, underscoring his comprehensive understanding of risk-sharing mechanisms and reinsurance practices.

He is currently our HR Business Partner, a seasoned HR practitioner with over a decade experience in the field of Human Resource Management. He is well grounded in strategic and operation HR activities.

A graduate of Business Administration & Management from Lagos State Polytechnic Ikorodu and a member of Chartered Human Resource Management Professional (CHRMP).

Philip commenced his HR career with Flour Mills of Nig Plc where he worked in the centralized HR operations at the Head office (Apapa) before leading the HR function of one FMN’s subsidiaries, in this role he exhibits strong leadership qualities and effective management of a team by ensuring smooth HR operations, liaising with regulatory bodies/government agencies, and maintain good relationship with community leaders and other external stakeholders.

Hafsat Umar directs human capital development, employee engagement, leadership cultivation, and administrative operations at Hilal Takaful Insurance Limited.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration and an MBA with specialization in Human Resource Management. She is a full member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM) and the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM).

Folashade Alice Oyekan is a Chartered Accountant (FCA) and finance executive with 22 years of progressive experience in Nigeria’s insurance industry, spanning both conventional and takaful insurance. She leads financial planning, reporting, capital management, and investment oversight as Head of Finance at Hilal Takaful Insurance Company Limited.

Her career began in treasury and management accounting at Royal Exchange General Insurance, where she spent 18 years and rose to Head of Reporting & Tax. There she strengthened financial reporting structures for NAICOM approval, built a credit-control unit, and reduced bad debt by about ₦100 million through coordinated collection efforts. She later served as Head of Accounts at Staco Insurance Plc before advancing into executive CFO leadership in January 2024.

She is known for producing timely, accurate financial statements under IFRS and for maintaining strong standing with NAICOM and other regulators. Her budgeting, forecasting, and risk analysis guide profitable growth, while her management of capital structure, liquidity, and investments grows returns on premium income and keeps funds available for claims. She brings strong internal controls, audit readiness, and rigorous account reconciliation to every role, and she works with boards, investors, auditors, and regulators to build trust and secure favourable terms.

Folashade holds an MBA in Financial Management from Lagos State University and a Higher National Diploma in Accounting. Her professional memberships include Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), the Institute of Strategic Management of Nigeria, and the Chartered Institute of Loan & Risk Management of Nigeria. She has also published research on accounting ratios as a measure of management efficiency.
